03Shippers & exporters

“Can our ERP just ask?”

Your team pastes packing lists from Excel. Your systems call the public API. Both end up with the same load plan.

  • Paste from Excel or import .xlsx
  • Public REST API with scoped keysEnterprise
  • Same plan in the app and in your systems

03How it works

Four steps. One obvious path.

No training course. The first load plan takes under ten minutes, most of which is finding the packing list.

  1. 01

    Paste the packing list.

Copy the table from Excel or import the .xlsx. Headers are recognised in English and German, and units like cm, kg or inches are read straight from the header.

    • You check the mapping before anything is imported
    • Decimal commas and points both work
    • Save repeat items to a cargo library

    Pasted from Excel

6 of 6 columns recognised · units read from the headers

  2. 02

    Press Calculate.

The engine works out how many Units you need and where every item goes, and checks every loading rule before you see the plan.

    • Stacking, rotation and weight limits respected
    • Nothing dropped silently: leftovers are listed with a reason

  3. 03Team and up

    Adjust what you know better.

The engine proposes, the planner decides. Move an item, lock it, and recalculate around it.

    • Locked items stay put on the next calculation
    • Layer view and centre of gravity
    • Warnings when a manual edit breaks a rule
  4. 04Team and up

    Send it to the dock.

One link opens the warehouse checklist on any phone, no account needed. The client gets a loading report as a PDF.

    • View-only, revocable, optional expiry
    • A checklist the crew can follow on a phone
    • Loading report with your company's details

04Try it

Paste your packing list. See the Units.

Paste rows straight from Excel and press Calculate. The real engine runs in your browser, so your list never leaves this page.

One row per item: name, length, width, height, quantity and weight per piece in kg. Tab, comma or semicolon separated. Up to 50 rows and 2,000 pieces.

05Savings

What does one fewer Unit save you?

Enter your own shipments and costs. If one avoided container costs more than a year of Team, the plan pays for itself the first time it happens.

08FAQ

Fair questions. Straight answers.

Something missing? Ask us directly.

Our packing lists live in Excel. Do we retype them?

No. Paste the table or import the .xlsx. Cargo Marshal maps the columns, recognises English and German headers, and reads units from them: mm, cm, m, inches or feet, and kg, t or lb for weight. You check the mapping before anything is imported.

Can we see it before signing up?

Yes. Open the sample load plan to see the 3D view and the checklist the warehouse gets. No account needed.

Do we need a credit card for the trial?

No. The 14-day Team trial starts when you create your organisation, one trial per person. No card, and nothing is charged automatically.

What happens after the 14 days?

Nothing is charged. Your workspace turns read-only: you can still open and export every project and load plan, but not edit or calculate until you choose a plan.

Which plan do we need?

Pro: 1 planner seat. Team: 5 planner seats, adds interactive 3D, share link, organization logo on the loading report. Enterprise: 15 planner seats, adds API, SSO, invoice or purchase order, DPA.

Does the warehouse need an account?

No. A share link opens the checklist and the loading report in any browser. Visitors can view but not change anything. Set an expiry and revoke the link whenever you like.

Is there anything to install?

Nothing. It runs in the browser, and calculations run on our servers. It's built so a typical shipment of up to about 1,000 items solves in seconds.

What if our trailers aren't standard?

Add your own equipment types: inner length, width and height, door and side openings, payload and empty weight. They work everywhere the built-in ones do.

What happens when cargo doesn't fit?

It's listed under “Cargo not loaded” with the reason, such as too large, too heavy, too big for every loading opening, blocked by a loading rule, no volume left, or no equipment left. Nothing is dropped without you seeing it.

Does it replace our TMS?

No, and it doesn't try to. Cargo Marshal plans loads and does that one thing well. It isn't a TMS, WMS or ERP.

Plan your next load before lunch.

Start with the Team plan free for 14 days. Bring one real packing list and you'll have a load plan to share in under ten minutes.
