Road equipment
A reefer trailer is an insulated semi-trailer with a refrigeration unit on the front wall. The insulation and the unit make it heavier, and lower and narrower inside than a box trailer. Cargo goes in through the rear doors only.
A 13.6 m reefer trailer measures 13.41 × 2.46 × 2.65 m inside (44 ft 0 in × 8 ft 1 in × 8 ft 8 in), carries up to 24,000 kg and holds 33 Euro pallets in one layer.
