Flat pallet
A Euro pallet (EPAL 1 / EN 13698-1) measures 1,200 × 800 mm and is 144 mm high. It weighs about 25 kg empty and has a safe working load of 1,500 kg. In a stack, the bottom pallet may carry up to 5,500 kg.

A Euro pallet weighs about 25 kg (55 lb) empty, according to EPAL. Treat it as a nominal value: the weight of wood shifts with moisture. EPAL rates the safe working load at 1,500 kg (3,307 lb). When loaded pallets are stacked on a solid, even surface, the bottom pallet must not exceed a load of 5,500 kg (12,125 lb).

The Euro pallet is the standard exchange pallet in Europe. EPAL runs the open pallet pool in which marked pallets are exchanged, repaired and reused across borders. According to EPAL, more than 650 million Euro pallets are in circulation.
These counts come from the engine that plans your loads, for the units this pallet is normally loaded into. Each row links to the page for that unit.

A count marked payload stops at the unit's payload, not at its floor space.
Assumptions: each pallet is 1.20 m high including its load and weighs 400 kg. Stacked counts put two pallets on top of each other where the unit is tall enough.

Euro pallet: 1,200 × 800 × 144 mm, or 1.20 × 0.80 × 0.14 m (47.2 × 31.5 × 5.7 in). The height is that of the empty pallet, not of the load.

In a 20 ft container, 11 one layer or 11 stacked two high. In a 40 ft container, 25 or 25. In a 13.6 m curtainsider trailer, 34 or 60. These assume 1.20 m height including the load and 400 kg per pallet.
